Our Mission

Tukutana provides essential resources and holistic development opportunities for orphans, vulnerable children, and the people and communities that care for them.

The name Tukutana is derived from three Swahili words that combined mean working together … with hope.

We’ve Provided

75,000 +

More than 75,000 villagers and refugees have safe, accessible, drinking water through water systems Tukutana constructed in their communities.

490 +

churches, schools, and communities have participated in Discovery Bible Studies and received essential trainings in nutrition, farming, sanitation & hygiene {WASH}, fire safety, and Emergency Care & First Aid.

325 +

More than 325 Ugandan children have learned golf & life skills through the Tukutana Kids’ Golf program.

Featured Programs

WATER

Working hand-in-hand with local churches, Tukutana has constructed wells and WATER systems in 56 rural villages and refugee settlements. The water sites are providing safe and accessible drinking water for more than 75,000 people in Uganda, South Sudan, and the Democratic Republic of Congo.


Tukutana Kids’ Golf

Tukutana Kids’ Golf equips East African youth with essential life and leadership skills. In addition to excelling on their home course, Tukutana golfers have shined abroad, with two Tukutana players making the Uganda National team and their country in the All-Africa Championships held in Morocco and Egypt.


Community Centers

Tukutana Community Centers offer safe locations for children to study, receive tutoring, and participate in Bible studies, sports, and art activities. The centers, located in slums and rural villages, also host classes and outreaches for parents, grandparents, widows, pastors, and orphan care providers.


Tukutana is honored to serve as an implementing partner with EMERGENCY Children’s Surgical Hospital in Entebbe, Uganda. In this capacity, Tukutana assists East African children living in remote and impoverished communities by: 1. Facilitating medical screenings 2. Providing EMERGENCY with documentation 3. Arranging transportation for qualified patients to receive free medical services at EMERGENCY’s top-of-class surgical center.
