WIDOWS’ MINISTRY

While drilling a water well in western Uganda, our Tukutana team encountered 30 widows experiencing unspeakable suffering and hardships.

In response, Tukutana launched a widows' ministry that is meeting profound needs of hundreds of vulnerable women in three East African countries.

The women vary in age and circumstance, but all share a deep desire to be remembered, valued, and loved. Tukutana cares for our widows through home visits, farming assistance, and monthly gatherings at which we provide hearty meals, fellowship, Discovery Bible Studies, art, and fun! (Our widows like to dance)!

“Rejoice with those who rejoice;

mourn with those who mourn.”

Romans 12:15

“I like to laugh. After my husband died, life became too hard and I no longer found reasons to laugh. Now that I’m part of Tukutana, I have many friends, widows like me. We laugh and support one another. Together, we also study the Bible which has revealed the depth of God’s love for us and the hope we have in Him.”
